Visitors can also reach North Guwahati using the Guwahati Ropeway service across the Brahmaputra River. The ropeway connects Kachari Ghat (Panbazar side) with North Guwahati.

After reaching the North Guwahati terminal, devotees can hire local transport (auto-rickshaw or car) to reach Shri Shri Doul Govinda Temple, which is approximately 4–5 km from the ropeway station. Local guides are also available to help visitors explore the historical and cultural places of North Guwahati apart from the Doul Govinda Temple. This option offers a scenic aerial view of the mighty Brahmaputra River and the city of Guwahati, making the journey both comfortable and memorable for pilgrims and tourists.

By Kumar Bhaskar Varma Setu (Road Route) Devotees travelling by road can reach Shri Shri Doul Govinda Devalaya via the Kumar Bhaskar Varma Setu , a new 6-lane bridge over the Brahmaputra River connecting Guwahati with North Guwahati.
Route Guidance: From Guwahati City → Machkhowa → Cross Kumar Bhaskar Varma Setu → North Guwahati → Shri Shri Doul Govinda Mandir After crossing the bridge from Machkhowa side, the temple is easily accessible by local road towards North Guwahati. Private vehicles, taxis, and buses can conveniently reach the temple through this route.

The nearest railway stations are Guwahati Railway Station and Kamakhya Railway Station.
